Need help with installing HD 7870 GPU (Power socket issue)

Hi, I've recently purchased a Sapphire HD 7870 and are installing it. I've run into a snag regarding the two six pin power sockets it needs. I'm a beginner when it comes to the innards of PC's and as wandering if i could plug my second adapter/six pin adapter into this white adapter (See attached pictures). This little problem means that the family PC is out of action so any speedy help would be appreicated. Thanks smile.gif

Edit: They don't fit together anyway. Does the HD 7870 absolutely need 2 power sockets?

It will require 2 6pins to be plugged. The adapter will work if u can find another moles 4 pin that will fit
