Looking for a solid case! Corsair.. Fractal..?

Hi guys,

So I've recently done my own renovations to the office. I have painted the walls, setup a new desk and re carpeted the floors. I have done a nice mahogany stain on the architraves and the room is looking solid I must say. I'm looking at running a gaming pc in there, but really without the crazy LEDs and gamer style looks. I really liked the corsair 650d, Fractal Design r4, Core 100, etc.. Realistically, what's the best case out there that remains a descent size for space, but also maintains a somewhat pleasing aesthetic without being too gamer.

I use my pc to watch movies, and quite often do my uni work on ( just finished uni ) but am going into my first real job, and I'm not into huge led's and fancy looking cases. I like more solid and strong cases. I need something sturdy and well built. Looking mostly at corsair and fractal. Whats the best?

Cheers

Corsair and Fractal will definitely give you that "professional" look. If you are looking for something sleek yet stylish, you might also take a look at the Silverstone and Lian Li cases, as the mid-high end range of those are probably close to the design you are looking for. Also, Antec makes the P183 V3 and Sonata that have a professional look.

Out of the two brands you mentioned i only have experience with corsair, i have two 900D cases and one 650D, their quality is superb, and i also dont like the crazy blinding LEDs thrown in the case haphazardly, you will definitely get a more professional look from corsair. Though the fractal cases also look great. just havent gotten to try them.

I have used both, Corsair and Fractal (Corsair 800D and Fractal Design Arc Midi). I do agree that they both looked and felt professional, stylish and both were roomy under my standards. I do think that you will be happier with Corsair in my opinion. I went with Fractal for my last build just because at the time, it was about $75 cheaper. For the money, Fractal wins in my opinion. But if I were to do it all over I would go back to Corsair.

Hope that helps.

the 400r is a nice case.
I have not had any problems with it .

I would recommend both Corsair and Fractal Design. It's all personal preference which company's case you prefer.
