Today Rockstar Games Director Leslie Benzies has shared more details about GTA Online. According to Leslie Benzies, GTA Online features over 700 missions. "We hope you have a 500 always available, and are renewed continuously. You can also go to the Rockstar Social Club and get off more missions. So you can connect and download any player missions to populate your world online, both from friends and from other users."
I don't understand why everyone thinks this is an MMO. Just because you have always wanted a GTA MMO doesn't make this an MMO, so why do you want to pay for a subscription? Seems like you're saying you love to pay money to buy DLC for games. I'd prefer that the developer makes the game, opens the game up to modding, and doesn't continue to milk the cow dry.

Who is saying this is an MMO? I see no mention of it anywhere in articles nor mention of it by customers. Nobody has called it so.
To answer your question; I would pay money for it and many other people like me who would gladly support Rockstar for all the work they have put into this. I think you are not aware of the work which goes into making something like GTA Online. It's not a carbon copy of the single player which you just happen to be able to play with tons of people. This isn't some mission or map pack. This is almost an entire other game.
I don't know how I feel about a subscription. I do know I would be glad to spend as much money again on Online as I will be spending on GTA V.
This seems like fun, but after San Andreas I just spent all my GTAssness for this life. I just can't friggin stand GTAIV, so playing the fifth would be for me like having your nuts twisted by a crackhead monkey who had another crackhead monkey using his hands like pliers. Hope you will enjoy it and don't forget The Division comes to PC.

A game like this will never be on a mobile platform for at least another 8-10 years.
Also IIRC Rockstar said they didn't really work well with Nintendo, hence why they really don't release a lot of games on Nintendo consoles (I think there is only GTA Advance and GTA Chinatown wars). Rockstar has also said they aren't going to release it on PS4 or Xbox One because they are working on a new engine for those consoles. For the PC version they said they are "thinking about bringing it to PC", which for them means "we are working on a PC version, we just don't want to announce it yet." If GTA V follows the same development timeline as the other major GTA titles (excluding GTA IV which was delayed), they should announce a PC version in Feb-Mar and release it between Mar-May (most likely April)
That is actually pretty cool. But you know there are gonna be repeats, or missions that are really alike. I am always suspicious when they say "Oh, there are hundreds of missions/quests you can do!" Like with Skyrim and it's radiant quests. Which reminds me of those 20/30/50/100 in one games for the old consoles and handhelds. There were a few that were good, fewer that were really really good and most where similar or crap.

GTA never touched Gamecube due to disk space (open world on 1.5 wasnt gonna happen)
Wii couldnt do GTA IV
Wii U version lack of just seems like a chance lost.
I wished PC was same day release cant think of why they would wanna stiff PC players considering PC sales seem to be decent and sooner or later everyone with a steam copy will own it from sales.
Hell the game could have released for Xbox one and PS4 with the same graphics and still sold a good amount.

Like Minecraft, the repetitiveness depends on how good your imagination is. The user is the one who sets up and creates the missions.

I remember reading somewhere that Rockstar wanted to bring GTA III, VC and SA to the Gamecube but Nintendo said the game was to violent for their liking or something like that. Nintendo only let Rockstar release a game on one of their consoles when they were getting desperate for money.
What they are doing is a market strategy. They don't confirm a PC release, then a lot of the PC gamers buy it on console. Once the console sales start to die down, they announce a PC version then the PC gamers end up buying it twice. It's been a successful strategy for 12 years.
I don't have any problems with MMO games, I'm just failing to see how this could be considered an MMO as I've heard many people call it after watching the video. From what I've read the speculation is that the maximum number of players is 16 on the X360 and PS3 versions, and 32 on the PC version, although various modes have limitations on the number of players that can join at any one time. Am I wrong?
I don't think I'll be able to do all those missions unless I spend 4-8 hours a day on the game, which will never be possible with how busy I am. Guess I'm spending all October online until BF4 is out. Though the BF4 beta also comes out at the same time as GTA Online...
