Urgent! Chose XL-ATX and not HPTX

Guys, I just ordered my STH10. I am using Rampage IV Extreme and I assume that XL-ATX is fine for my board so did not make the changes. To my horror that RIVE belongs to EATX and it is not in the list of compatibility of XL-ATX.

I had emailed Carla and the item is not shipped yet and due to shipped only on the 27 Aug.

My question is if RIVE able to fit into XL-ATX in STH10??

The specifications are a little confusing on that case. It looks like you might need to order the HTPX version of the STH10 to get the holes drilled the right way and proper sized motherboard tray to accommodate a EATX board.

Here's the specifications of that case, straight off the CaseLabs site:

•Form Factor: XL-ATX (mATX, ATX, SSI-CEB, XL-ATX. MB tray dimension: 13.60” x 10.75”) or HPTX (mATX, ATX, SSI-CEB, XL-ATX, EATX, SSI-EEB, HPTX. MB tray dimension 13.60" x 15.00” - 346mm x 381mm)

The RIVE is really an oversize ATX and not a true EATX board so will fit just fine. EATX is a superset of ATX. The board dimensions tell the story. The RIVE is 12.00" x 10.70" and the STH10 (XL-ATX version) will accept boards up to 13.60" x 10.75". MB manufacturers have done a fantastic job of confusing everyone rolleyes.gif

Thanks for all the reply and clarification.

It really worries me when I found out XL ATX does not accept boards of EATX which the specifications of RIVE stated it is EATX.

Anyway I had confirmed with Carla as well in regards to this and told me if I were to use HPTX MB Tray, it would look so good.
