Thread Starter
Hi I'm thinking about buying an SSD specifically the Samsung 256 GB 840 pro.

1) does everything come with it or do i have to buy an additional cable or something
2)am i going to have to buy a 3.5 to 2 X 2.5-Inch Bay Converter?

Thanks in advance

1) No it just uses SATA power and data cables which you should already have.

2) It depends what kind of case you have - it may already have a HDD tray with screw holes for a 2.5 inch drive. Many people simply tape them to an out of the way part of the case.If you get one of these you can have two stacked in a front bay http://www.span.com/product/StarTech-SATA-Mobile-Rack-HSB220SAT25B-SATA-to-SATA-Trayless-2x-2-5-HD,-1x-3-5-Bay~31650
Make sure you read the manual before you install it - my old OCZ Vertex 3 had to have the OCZ Toolbox installed before anything else.
Remember you don't need to defragment it - it takes care of that by itself.

1. There is no hardware bundled, if you need SATA power or data cable you need to buy it.
2. There also exist some simple 3.5" to 2x 2.5" brackets for internal use.

They are really cheap and will work fine if you don't need hot swap.
If you have only 5.25" you can additionally buy 5.25" to 3.5" brackets.
