Faulting Module: nvd3dum.dll

These four lines are always involved in a nvidia driver crash.

I play games a lot like any other pc gamer, but they keep crashing... unlike any other pc gamer's games.

Things I have done:
Changed RAM modules.
Clean install on Nvidia driver 320.49
Asus bios update to version 1903
Returned CPU to 3.8ghz stock from 4.2ghz OC'd. (F5 in bios)

My specs--

AMD fx 6200 (stock 3.8ghz)
Nvidia gtx 560 ti (two in sli)
4 gb of patriot memory i borrowed from my parents pc. I had the 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz 4x4gb kit in before... it doesnt make a difference in the problem or frequency of the crashes
ASUS m5a99fx pro r2.0
Samsung 840 250gb ssd
corsair hx1050

(these are the specs I think would matter)

I've looked at multiple forums and seen multiple solutions but 99% of them wind up failing anyway.

The only one I have seen work is a clean install of windows. I don't want to do that because you have to reinstall all your software and thats just too time consuming... for me at least since I have tons of software.

I've found this problem is quite common but good solutions very rare.
If anyone has a solution for me, or has experienced this same problem and fixed it, please help me. I don't want to spend $$$ replacing a part when it could have been solved from my keyboard.

(I game on 3 monitors, but I have reverted to only one monitor and the problem persists.)
