Upgrading My i5 3570K Need Advice On 4930K!

Hey guys, just wanted some input, I know the benchmarks aren't out yet.

But it seems that the 4930K doesn't support AVX while the 3930K does.

Is this important? Also is it worth waiting? As it's only a few weeks apparently? Also was considering getting the 2011 Asus mobo, no idea yet.

Haswell-e will require 2011-3 compatible boards, so current X79 boards probably won't cut it. What are you looking at haswell-e for exactly. If it's gaming the additional cores will probably show little to no (and likely even less) performance in many games.

Personally, I will be waiting for the 4930k as I need to additional rendering power.

Same.

So the Mobo for 4930K will be different then?

Sorry to hijack the thread but what would be the difference if I upgrade to 4930k from a 3570k?

In all terms, gaming, dekstop, video editing, going SLI etc...

What? Where does it say 4930k doesnt support AVX?

"Instruction Set ExtensionsSSE4.2, AVX, AES"

X79 board support Sandy Bridge-E and Ivy Bridge-E. X79 boards will not support Haswell-E eventhough it is still LGA 2011.
