I had the newest Adobe flash on my PC and on firefox and chrome it would keep lowering the volume by itself. so I got the new beta version and the same thing keeps happening.

Tried going to the bottom right corner, find the speaker icon, right click on it > Playback Devices > Communications > check "Do Nothing"?

I did that and it seems to be working, but whenever the problem would happen, it only lowers the flash players volume and not the overall volume.

I just started having the same exact issue. Randomly my volume would drop only within the flash environment. I have followed the tip above with setting the communications tab to "do nothing", so I'll see if that fixes it.

My question then is, if that does fix it, what in the world does windows think is trying to communicate with it? I've never had this issue before. I did recently install Nvidia HD audio drivers for my GPU, so maybe that had something to do with it. Who knows though, just thought I'd throw out my info in case it helps anyone in the near future.
