I linked in this thread earlier that IBM had already created a cpu that is 100's of Ghz.

We have the capability to run cpus at raucous speeds on silicon, it's just the feasibility to do so is a major inhibitor.

Now add 7.1 Billion more transistors(Titan count) and show us what a graphene consumer appliance can do. thumb.gif

Until them, please allow me to remain skeptic when yet another news site covering yet another scientific, highly controlled and experimental closed environment test tests another "silicon heir" and shouts...

"Science!It's the future" biggrin.gif

Remain skeptical... the rest of us are aware of what graphene is and how special it's properties are.

FWIW: Graphene and Memristor's will make it so your hard drive is also your memory.. thus solid state PC and software.

I'm not skeptical about graphene and it's properties, I know them very well and I'm aware that just every semiconductor manufacturer company is pouring funds into graphene R&D. I'm skeptical about non-scientific related sites(bussinessweek, next will be seekingalpha, I bet) blowing things out of proportion at this early research stage based on, as I've said, highly controlled, isolated and experimental tests. thumb.gif

Gotta make it interesting for us regular folks.
Pretty boring if all I hear is war and taxes on the news.
Over blown science is far more interesting!
