Looks pretty sick. The only thing I noticed is that I can't take a screen shot with it on for some reason. All I keep getting is black screens.

Nvidia can give those techniques specifically to their cards but they should make them open source it is the reason why there Cuda thing will die once.
Tress FX is open source not that it will run well on Nvidia gpu's not because they gimped it for those, but because Nvidia mid gpus lack compute power.
PhysX, Cuda, FXAA and now HBAO all a waste if you ask me.

TressFX has the exact same performance impact on AMD and Nvidia hardware:
http://www.pcgameshardware.de/AMD-Radeon-Grafikkarte-255597/Tests/Tomb-Raider-PC-Grafikkarten-Benchmarks-1058878/
Compute performance has no impact in todays games at all if we compare GFLOPs. The 7970 GHz has 30% more GFLOPs than the GTX 680/770. Of course it's faster. But that has nothing to do with architecture, just with the number of ALUs (and bandwidth). PhysX is great as long as there is no substitute. And there isn't - there isn't a single game with Bullet@GPU or Havok@GPU out there, but 30+ with PhysX@GPU. FXAA is universally usable.

Nice. Doesn't look overly demanding either if your 470 is rocking it at 50-60fps.

Yeah I am having the same issue with the screen shots, can't take them while I run HBAO+ for some reason...But other than that, it is actually really nice, looks way better than a lot of AO solutions and it's barely noticeable on the performance at least on a 670.

Try using Fraps to take the screenshots, I was able to take them no probs.

I'm ready for hardware that can do realtime, quality radiosity. AO works well for the speed required, but leaves a lot to be desired when looking at other GI schemes.

I'm having to hold off on this game...at least until it's $5 bin cheap.

Not Ironside really kills it for me. Even he said he didn't do the new SC because the story was thin and the character was no longer a spy but more a psychopathic murderer.

Doesn't sound like a SC game to me.

As far as the graphics go, I don't care. With my rig I already know I can run it maxed out no problem and I haven't even played it yet.
