Has anyone ever gone the route of actually using custom water cooling parts?

I am hoping to to build a water cooled PC in the near future and was wondering if anyone took customization to the next level.

Are you referring to creating your own waterblocks and ect.?

If I had the time perhaps, but I was more thinking on the lines of having parts specially crafted for my project.
