Curious on what PSU to get to support these cards.

I'm not super tech-savvy, but not too bad. I'm suggesting some parts for a friend and before I tell him that it would work for sure I'd like to get an answer here!

I have picked out for him to SLI 2x http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121770

I have picked out this PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010

one of his friends is telling him that 750W will not be good enough to run 2x GTX 770 but I feel like it would, he is suggesting he buy a 1200W PSU.

Anyone have an opinion on which option to go with?

-Thanks

That 750W will be more than enough for powering 2x 770's HERE is a video demonstrating how much power 4x 480's run. its only drawing 1.1KW at max. divide that by 2 and you only get 550-600w power draw with 2 cards.

also the 480's were much more power hungry than your GTX 770's

The Rosewill Capstone 750w non-modular version is $94 on newegg right now.

That PSU will work just fine with those cards in an SLI config. Shouldn't draw anymore than 650w, even with a modest overclock.

Yea, the corsair 750w PSUs, all of them can run a decently OCed i7 3930k plus two Titans, pulling about 550-600 watts.

750w for two single cards of all types, 950w for three, and 1200w for four... although the scaling sucks beyond two cards.
