IPS with good colours and lowest input lag

Hi guys,

I've been debating on which monitor to purchase to replace my old Dell 2407WFP.

My 2407 is a great monitor but its simply too slow for gaming. The input lag is quite noticeable and since I play a lot of competitive FPS I really need something quicker.

Ideally I would like to avoid a TN panel as I work from home as a graphic designer and need the quality colours that you would find from an IPS Panel.

So essentially I'm looking for an IPS with good input lag (Max would be 10ms) and response time that also has good colours and image quality.

I'd like a 24 inch monitor mainly but if there is a 27 inch 2440 display that suits my needs I would consider it also.

Thanks in advance!

PS: Please don't mention any of the Korean monitors I already know about them and don't want to take the risk.

What's the risk that you're not willing to take?

Is 2735AMG overclockable to 120Hz? I'd be very interested to know.

Forgot to mention in my OP but I don't want a glossy display.

The problem with the Korean monitors for me is that if I get a dead pixel, I won't be able to send it back and for me even 1 dead pixel is a deal breaker due to the design work that I do from home.

Someone mentioned the HP ZR2740w v2 in another post. Does anyone have any knowledge of this monitor?

Here is the tft central review of it

See PRAD's review, the HP has slower pixel response times vs. most newer models and lacks and osd/color controls.

It seems that all monitors have their downsides, I guess a slow pixel response time wouldn't be as bad as high input lag or worse colours?

Your monitor is very slow compared to newer IPS, so most would be a huge improvement, even those with 1 frame of input lag since the older S-PVA panels had at least 2 frames of input lag.

If you had read this post you would have seen that the Viewsonic VP2770 has low input lag (similar to HP) as well as very fast, TN like pixel response times.
