HI guys im having problems with my 2 year old rig, i will try to explain as simple and as posible:

I have a gts 450 that has been running for more than 2 years and this problem has start to get in my way =(...

when I finish playing starcraft 2, try to change the resolution or alt-tabbing in fullscreen mode, the screen goes black and and the monitor says

no signal, though i could still hear the sound of the game and i could still skype with an ongoing call with a friend, this has happened several

times, just one time the screen recovered and there was a message saying " graphic driver recovered" or something like that on the bottom

right of the desktop, i tried updating drivers to no avail, but then i also changed my gts 450 to a gtx 560 se and the same thing happened the

screen goes black, though when i first tried moving resolutions, alt-tabbing, etc. in starcraft 2 it worked correctly but then a few hours later black

screen, also im noticing that when im playing or watching videos windows starts to stutter for a few seconds repeating in an infinte loop the last

bit of sound and that lasts for 10 seconds and theni can continue using the pc, i have a log of the problem it might help a little, thank you in

advance for the help, i need to figure out what I need to change on my pc... its in spanish but you guys have seen this kind of problems before

Have you attempted a clean driver install? How are temperatures when using this card? Overclocked (just curious.)?

It is the driver crashing. I used to get that all the time when I tried to OC an old GTX 460. It can happen to any kind of card as well. But if not, it is most likely driver related.
