Purchasing laptop for sister. Needs to have < 14" screen, > 900p resolution, and < $750

Thread Starter
I'm looking to purchase a laptop for my sister to use at nursing school but I can't seem to find a quality small-ish laptop or ultrabook that has the specs I am looking for. She found the Sony Vaio Fit 14 in Pink (because she loves pink) for less than $750 but the battery in it is very small and from reviews online you are lucky to get just under 3 hours with it despite the meager specs. I told her to put the need for a pink laptop on hold and look at something for around the same price that is better quality and most importantly has a longer battery life. However, I am facing a problem in that I can't seem to find something in a 14" or less form-factor that has a 900p or higher screen and costs less than $750.

I admit that I am at a disadvantage since I am trying to buy online since we live apart from each other and have the laptop shipped to her place. I'm not sure what the best websites are and where I can find the best deals on a laptop with my specs right now. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm. Have you checked out the samsungs? Pretty potent and fairly cheap.
