how do i go about SLI Titan setup?

Thread Starter
im considering another Titan for SLI, however please fill me in:

Do i have to update the drivers before i install the 2nd card?

which dvi input do i use?

should i use 3rd PCIe slot and use a tri-sli bridge = does that work?

basically, i have never SLIed before, so let me know on how to do this correctly.

here is my rig insides:

Hi there..

Do i have to update the drivers before i install the 2nd card? - No
which dvi input do i use? - Theoretically doesnt matter.. i took the upper card.

should i use 3rd PCIe slot and use a tri-sli bridge = does that work? - Why shouldnt it work.. but why should you do this?!

Just put the card in.. you maybe have to restart 1-3 times and it should work.. just dont forget a sli bridge ;P
In some cases you have to re-install the drivers, but my setup worked like an AK47 in dust ^^

because the wifi card might block 2nd slot... and i thought it's better air flow for the larger gap between the Titans...

whatta mean restart pc 1-3 times? This doesn't sound good....

Put a gap between them if you can. I put a sound card in between mine, and even that small card sent my temps up 2-3C on average. Anyway, connect the cards with the bridge, and enable SLI in the Nvidia control panel.

You can totally put the 2nd Titan in the bottom slot for better air flow. Just look at how your motherboard behaves with cards in slots 1 and 3. It might run slot 1 at 16x and slot 3 at 8x (which you probably wouldn't notice anyway).

If you have strange problems or issues take off the SLI bridge and flip it upside down. That's fixed quite a few SLI problems on this forum, as strange as that sounds.

As mentioned you have to enable SLI in the Nvidia control panel. It's off by default.
