asus or gigabyte gtx 760

Thread Starter
hey guys having trouble deciding and well being an asus man i find myself strangely drawn to the new rev 2 version of the gtx 760 with its newly designed cooler, but when i think about it i want the best cooling possible as i dont mind running 100% fan speed but i want something overclockable aswell.
any opinions on the matter. i have seen a few reviews of the revision 1 gigabyte which was able to git 7000mhz effective memory without a voltage increase which was then beating a gtx 680 in some games.

The windforce is the better cooler as it is much bigger than the asus. Your max oc on core and memory is unpredictable, you may get higher clocks with the asus or the gigabyte. Silicon lottery mate.

OP forget the GTX 760. there are some crazy deals on GTX 670 and HD 7950. both cards are faster. pick whatever you like

GTX 670

MSI GTX 670 PE

Gigabyte GTX 670 OC

HD 7950

HD 7950(1150 hz) vs GTX 760(1280 mhz)

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/07/02/msi_n760_tf_2gd5oc_gtx_760_overclocking_review/5

GTX 670 has 1 SMX (192 cuda cores) than GTX 760. clock for clock GTX 670 is 10 - 12% faster. an avg HD 7950(1150 mhz) is on par with GTX 670(1250 mhz). so pick one of these two.

well it's not all about pricing for me i have £230 which i could stretch to £250 if i could get a gtx 680 but otherwise i want a 700 series card. looks are a big part for me aswell i like asus direct cuii and the new gigabyte cooler. also from what i've seen some 760's once overclocked could be on par with a 680. i do plan on water cooling so i can bump that voltage all the way up for stability.

OP i don't understand the logic in going for a slower card. why would you pick a GTX 760 over a GTX 670. you realize the GTX 670 is faster due to having 1 SMX (192 cuda cores). go with gigabyte GTX 670 OC for £200.
