Found a 6970 for cheap good for Xfire? - Page 2

With the prices of 7950s dropping, I would suggest upgrading. Theres a deal on newegg for 178 for an MSI 7950 after rebate (using V.me as well) that includes 4 games.

$100 bucks for the 6970? If u add another 70-80 bucks you could pick up a 7950 so I would have to agree with that! The 6970s are good but they are getting dated and weaker on account of amd not doing driver updates on them anymore ( their main focus is 7000 series) when was the last time you saw a driver update that said 6000 series picking up performance gains for games? I must have missed it lol. Go for the 7950 or 7970 used if you can find it......It will last you longer and get better fps then the 6970s~! The only reason ive kept mine so far was I got em for 150 each but i will be changing them real soon. Whatever you choose good luck to you, and Jason was right you schould look into a better cpu to push those things more- I wasnt able to get em to 60-70 % with the fx 6100,with the 8350 they are now humming along at 99% gpu 1 and 99% gpu 2 thats a big diffrence in gpu utilazation and mainly the magic-FPS in games~ There was a HUGE jump in fps for me:thumb:
