I ought a secondary 128GB SSD to go along side my 512GB SSD. Both are Samsung 840 Pro, and I am wondering if HDD Cacheing is worth it. I was originally going have the SSD be a secondary drive for all of my active files, and then use a 2TB HDD as a third drive for my long term storage such as music and old files. I got to thinking and HDD Cacheing stores actively used files for fast access, which is essentially what the secondary SSD would be doing, but this way will also be able to take advantage of the speed for downloads and such.

So I guess my main question is... Is HDD Cacheing with a SSD just as fast for the frequently used files as a stand alone SSD? All I care about is the frequently used files, I know files I use once in a while will be just as slow as the HDD.
