http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314119 $529

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-V5-552G-X414-15-6-inch-Laptop/dp/B00DKFFLMY $620

Well the main difference is the CPU. The cheaper uses an A8-5557m and the other uses an A10-5757m

Now my budget is no more than 650 so these fit nice for some low res gaming, and is more for school and some casual gaming than anything, already have a desktop so im not looking to build another monster. Well will either of the cpu's bottleneck the graphics card installed? the 8750m. I read that they would be able to play BF3 on Medium 720p at 40fps, and since i will always go for 60fps ill go low settings. So

another thing i was going to with an SSD if i chose the 529 one, just a cheap 120G and put an extra 4Gig of ram in it and call it gravy. But the Ram on both motherboard is soldered on and i'm not concerned about getting the wrong kind of ram but simply if i will get any BSOD since they will not be from the same kit.

I have been looking for benchmarks and i have had a very difficult time obtaining them

thank you

The Acer is the better machine. The A10 APU really is just that much better.

Well lol i just ordered a laptop but it wasnt either of those i went with the Asus G64vw laptop. was only $700 on newegg refurbished and looks to be a good future proof laptop, felt like the AMD apu wouldnt really be able to keep up in the next year, and even this year, but no matter. Anyone who builds a computer goes by the whole, i know this is better and to just shell out that extra $100 dollar will save you from buyers regret in the future. But thank you for the reply, i was sure that the apu would bottleneck the card or maybe just both wouldnt be to powerful to begin with.

The cpu in the Asus is the i5 3210m which i find funny as it is like a desktop i3, and then i looked at the i5 and i3 mobile line up and all i saw was a different clock speed, substanstial increase but still. is that the only difference between them? and i assume the i7 mobile is then a true quad core. Do any i7mobiles have hyper threading?

All mobile i7 CPUs have hyperthreading. That's standard.
