I came across these so im wondering if you would buy them at $40.00. They have Plush ear cups rather then Pleather.

Will superflux 681's and the RX700's sound better than a speaker set in the same cost bracket, I.E - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0027VT6V4/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Cyber acoustics, I got them and tbh I wasn't impressed with the sound much. Also I returned them because one of them was damaged and playing a fuzzy sound at times, but other than that I wasn't overall impressed compared to my 6 year old logitech speakers than I replaced them with.

I read that usually well made headphones like those two I mentioned will sound better than a speaker system that cost twice as much, until you start spending alot on speakers.

Will either of those two headphones sound better than the $42 speakers that I just returned, also will they sound as good or better than the razer megaldons.

Help me OCN you are my only hope.

Yes. They. Will.
They sound better than 200$ speakers. I have had a pair of 180$ 2.0 speakers and now I have ~500$ 2.0 speakers.

I also have Superlux HD681Evo (37$) and DT770 (180$), the DT770 sounds slightly better and build quality is from another planet.
But yeah, when you compare speakers to headphones with the same price... Speaker setups that have a subwoofer and cost less than 200$ are 99% crap.
I would put it this way: Subwoofers cost 300$ minimum, anything less and it's a farting box. Unfortunately most ppl like farting noises...sad-smiley-002.gif

To find good headphones, stay away from "Gamer" brands (razer/logitech/steelseries).
Sennheiser, Superlux, AKG, Beyerdynamic, etc. make good audio products.

can someone please answer this question

I put a similar post over at HardOCP and got a few responses but mainly on this headset. I was told that for the money these headphones are amazing and I was told to grab these Velour Pads for them

Between the superflux 681's and the RX700's then, closed vs open.I don't really need to keep the sound in, no one to bother so I guess the 681's are the winner.

Ugh sorry for all the indecision the 681's seem to be the clear choice atm, but before I pull the order trigger would it be worth it for the extra $14 to go with the superflux 668b's.

Much better sound, or same quality just different focus?

The Superlux/Samson headphones are the ones to go for at this price range. Choose based upon your needs/wants.
