Hi guys, installing php on my webserver and have run into a problem.
Scripts wont run at all.
Php-cgi.exe returns a MSVCR110.dll error, I have re-installed .NET and VCREDIST.
IIS returns a 500 error.
netfx setup verifier reported no errors

Software:
PHP 5.5.3 NTS (tried x86 and 64)
dotNET 4
Windows Server 2008R2 (virtualised under Server 2012)
IIS 7.5

Help would be awesome,thumb.gif

EDIT: the plan is to install joomla

There's an easier way. Just use the Web Platform Installer:
http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx

Run that on your web server. Click on Applications, choose CMS, then add Joomla, and click install. That program takes care of everything.

Edit: If your server has some pre-existing problems, it may run into problems installing. Maybe the easiest solution is to spin up a fresh image, then run that tool.

Second Edit:
This is cool, there's an even faster shortcut:

The web deployment tool didn't work either.
I hadn't installed the latest VCRedist.
i then used the deployment tool but It only wanted to give me Joomla 2.5 so I decided to do a manual config.
Not enjoying the complexity of IIS as of yet, but I am hoping to reap the benefits in the future as I start to host websites for customers.

There's an ever better solution; ditch the PoS that is IIS and install WAMP. tongue.gif
