Is a 30" monitor better than 2 x 23" Monitor?

Hello Guys,

I got 2 23" monitor (ultra sharp) and I am thinking of converting to a single 30" dell monitor for neatness.

But I multi-task a lot and requires 2 monitor at least, therefore I am wondering if dell's 30" monitor split will be too small for me to work comfortably ?

You need to hit the pavement and head to somewhere there is a 30 incher for you to play with, comfort can only be figured out 1 way, you need some hands on.

but I am so comfortable at home with my herman miller embody, 10k sealy bed, 1 maid service me and etc..

I don't want to go out and squeeze with people to play test something.

=x

do they have bespoke monitor service? tongue.gif

okie just kidding, yup I would do that if there is anywhere in SG that allows me to play test a 30" dell monitor.

are there 42" monitors?

no it's not. 2 of your monitors have a total real estate of 4,147,200 (1920x1080 x2) vs 3,072,000 (2560x1200) of the 30". if for multi-tasking you will definitely be downgrading going 30". your best bet is to add another one of your monitors.

you can always rotate them portrait and they'll take up less pace than in landscape.

i've personally felt the gains of 23-24" monitors far outweigh the 30"s. i have 5x 24" and one 30".

You can get 2x 2560x1440 monitors for the price of one 30" which will offer far more real-state, and aside from the Dell 3014 (suffers from obvious ghosting and flickering line issues) or Lenovo LT305P, all of the 30" monitors use grainy matte coatings.
