We basically have the same ships, except I got the Freelancer instead of the Connie, and I have $130 locked into the game by melting misc ships lately (and not using the credits). I'm looking at a difference of approximately $70 between the Starfarer and the Retaliator then, and I have to admit that seems like an awfully small amount of money compared to the whole. Then again, it always does
At least I dont have to buy any joysticks or whatever to get ready for this, and hopefully not any new pc hardware in a while.

Ah. Thats true. Forgot about the Mustang in the heat of the moment. I feel like a junkie that needs to take a shot of Star Citizen to feel good, then I feel kind of bad. The only comfort is knowing that I helped finance the game of my dreams (and that others are basically in the same boat as me, like you)

Yup, I loved flying the bombers in War Thunder, which in fact is one of the reasons I think this role will fit me well. On the other hand, I hated flying War Thunder with a stick, and while I've put a bit of money into it I sadly havent played any WT lately mainly because I get outmaneuvered by mouse auto rudder magical controls. I also like games like submarine sims etc, so I like the slow, precise approach.
I'd sure like to be able to know more about the Tali in this aspect before shelling out this much cash, but I guess that wont happen in this stage. I'm concerned I will have a 89000 kg heavy piece of metal that I wont be able to use in a sensible manner, but at the same time there HAS to be some thought put into this exact matter. Perhaps a jump into your ship feature for all human players of certain allegiances and/or achievements or something like that? That would work. I surely would do the same now and then if that was an option.

Yeah, but I already got a package. The (non-digital) colonel package upgraded to LTI, which actually is a good deal since it, combined with the F7C-M upgrade, totals at about the same price the LTI version of the Super Hornet is going for now. I COULD melt the Freelancer AND the LX, but then I would hate myself. Been in love with the Freelancer since I first saw the Firefly-link there. In some strange way the Freelancer fills the same role as the Connie in my head, although much smaller of course, but the Tali is completely different, as with the Starfarer.Edited by Chris Ihao - 11/22/13 at 1:33am
