You can bet your booty the Freelancer will be my main ship from day one. Unless I am completely incorrect. In that case I'll end up buying another Aurora variant.
Insurance will only be a fraction of your bills, it is not a big deal to have LTI/free insurance x months. Like real world insurance, it's affordable for most people. You will likely spend more on fuel.

I have a 315p and an Aurora LX. The 315 is for scouting/exploring/salvaging and pirate discouragement, the Aurora is the trash hauler. Eventually I'll hire an NPC to fly the Aurora on the safer routes while I do riskier stuff in the 315 and eventually I'll move into larger ships.
Not really, unless you count the free 10k we got now and the starting cash from the package. It might be harder to start out with a higher end ship, but I don't really think this will be much of a worry for me at least. Considering my friends can work for free in the start etc, but you can also run the Connie alone, although not so safe as with a crew. I might end up buying some NPC's to though, think CIG said they would have that in store later on. Haven't really decided yet.
Worst case scenario I have 3 other ships to chose from, and all with LTI. So there should be no issue to get some dollars
Sounds like a good combo, 315p should be a good explorer and the LX is a good starter.
