3.0 patch looks soo impressive. I looks like the game is truly coming together now

Looks like the cycle is going to repeat itself with people becoming more and more worried about the game, until the end of the year when they show off what they've been up to. Everyone goes a little more quiet then with their worries, but the fear will come back. biggrin.gif

It's not without cause, there is no precedent for this game, no one knows whether it will succeed or not for certain. They're giving it a damn good shot though, and along with a small part of the community that is just great to be a part of, that's enough for me.

They're not even done yet....CitizenCon is in October where they'll be showing off some of the feature we saw today that are even more refined...and of course, Squadron 42 details.

It might be taking forever, but if CR and CIG can deliver on even 50% of what they've promised (and it's looking like they've been going above and beyond so far) then we're going to have one hell of a game....

PC gaming is in such a sad and sorry state when the hardware that most of us hardcore enthusiasts have far outstrips the requirements of 99.9% of all the games being developed for PC...so to see CIG taking their time and doing things 'right,' i'm all for it.

After all...the Kickstarter for Star Citizen may have started in mid-late 2012, but it took them just about the next 2 years to actually build up and staff a full company...so to make this much headway is actually rather impressive. I'm in this for the long haul. thumb.gif

I don't know, I feel that the next 2 years will be the most crucial time to judge whether this game will be what they promised or not... the 2 biggest issues are : 1. whether or not they could implement all those gameplay features in an enjoyable package 2. whether or not the game could actually playable with all those networking related troubles.

From my earlier post regarding which ship to change to. I've decided I want a Misc Reliant variant. Not sure which one yet, be either the Explorer version or the Cargo version. I'm not a good enough pilot to bother with the skirmisher version.
However, even though the website says the Kore (cargo version) is hanger ready it comes up as unavailable, why can't I buy it?

Because its one of those limited buy ships like the freelancer MIS variant, its hanger ready but you can only buy it during certain times of the year.

They must have bought it in a previous sale which has now ended then. There are many ships like this. I kind of regret letting go of my retaliator as I cannot currently buy it because of such sales.
