Possible to upgrade

Thread Starter
Hello everyone! I just bought a Samsung ATIV Book IV (NP470R5E-K01UB), and I noticed on the product page that my laptop can be configured with a Radeon 8750m GPU. I'm curious if anyone knows if the GPU is soldered on, or if it is an added card. My laptop isn't for gaming, but I would like to know if I could upgrade it in the future for any reason. I would open it up to see if I can find any slots, but I don't want to void the warranty. Thank you!

But you'd be voiding your warranty by installing a different card (if available) anyway. Best bet is to ring Samsung and ask them directly

Yes I would, but I'd rather void it to upgrade than void it to check. I'll give them a ring though.

The 8750M is soldered onto the motherboard itself. Unfortunately you cant upgrade the GPU in that particular laptop.
