Old Gateway NV53 RAM Question?

So I have a working Gateway NV53 Model MS2285. Everything has been upgraded that can be upgraded without soldering something on the board from spare parts. The problem is with the RAM from what I see it is stuck at 333Mhz and for the life of me I can't figure out how to bump it up to 400Mhz. I understand it is a small change and may not offer much of an improvement in performance. I would just like to know why I'm stuck at 333Mhz and how to change it if possible.

Here is your problem. It only support up to 4 GB of DDR2 667 (333).
Up to 2 GB of dual-channel DDR2 667 MHz memory, upgradeable to 4 GB using two soDIMM modules

I have seen that but as you can see from the screen shots it will support up to 8GB of RAM. The CPU is the AMD Turion™ II Ultra dual-core mobile processor M640 (2.60 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, DDR2 800 MHz, 35 W). The question is what about the board is holding back the CPU and RAM? I have access to other older laptop parts and I want to be able to put together the best system possible. Just don't want to waste the time and thermal grease to test each board. My only guess is the system bios is holding back the CPU's memory controller.

It is the bios more than likely
