Silverstone strider 1500w

Is this a good power supply? In some reviews the ripple suppression was a bit high, with 80mv on the 12v rail and a bit over 30mv for the other rails. Not sure if I should get one of these for cheap or buy something more expensive such as the lepa g1600. Thanks!

How can ripple supression be too high unless it makes the regulation loop slow down too much?

I wouldn't worry about 80mV of ripple, especially on the +12V because a) the +12V is a higher voltage, and b) the +12V almost always feeds other voltage regulators (CPU, video card), and those regulators cut the ripple even further.

The only thing I don't like about the Silverstone is that it has some Teapo brand capacitors in it, which could hurt longevity, while the Enermax Lepa has only Japanese brands. OTOH PC Power & Cooling has long used Teapos, even in its products warranted for 7 years.

First off do you need that much power?

What do you need to power?
