My pc makes a hissing sound if timer resolution (which is default 15.600) changes. For example in chrome I hear this hissing sound and with a program called timerresolution I can see it gets to 1000. Whenever It is 15.600 no sound. I have to use timer resolution in minimum . how can I do this ? in that program I can only use maximum : 0.500 and default : which changes according what software I do. I need 15.600 resolution. how can I do this ?

enabling cool and quiet and c states solved this hissing sound. Its weird because on my other board disabling it and other C states solves the problem. but on this one enabling solved it. how this can be possible ? smile.gif whats the enabling effect that solved this hissing sound ?

Also enabling does'nt make any problem to my 4.7 ghz overclock after prime 95 test. So will this make my internet surfing slower or wont make any difference ? as it lowers the voltage and mhz when not load as I guess. and chrome inst something that loads cpu much. so will this lowering voltage and mhz will cause and slow surfing ?
