hy guys, I was cleaning out my water loop and the uv green tubing, I read somewhere to boil them for 20 mins to get rid of some of the stretches left by the old babs now the tubing has become all foggy & yellow from the greenish clear! tongue.gif

what happened?

Many plastics have max operating temps in the 80-90 degree C before experiencing permanent physical change.
My guess boiling water at 100C exceeded this.

What is the tubing brand?
Im curious to see the operating temp range of this tubing

yea, I think you are probably right, should have tried a small piece first or taken it out quicker. anyway,, its all yelloish now, rather use clear tubing.

I think it was Thermal chill or Thermal take or some other stuff I got from someone when I was expanding my little loop.

anyidea if I can get some in UV or something? Frozen CPU has some in Clear and Black. No other colors. I would had liked Green or something. How about ebay sources, Frozen CPU want $7 to ship out 3 foot of tubing but $36 for 5 foot. wth.gif ( I'm outside north america.

Here in Canada we have NCIX and dazmode that sells tubing and I believe they ship international:

http://www.dazmode.com/store/category/tube/

In the US (these are the sites I know of) frozen cpu, side winder, xioxide

I hope this helps smile.gif

I would head to aquatuning and check out their tubing options. Even as a Canadian I use them (they're based in Germany) for most of my watercooling supplies because it's cheaper AND faster to my door than Dazmode. That and the selection is generally better.
