the heat would be extreme around the waterblock and get progressively less intense as it got further away, as previously stated by several people.
Thats kind of exactly what happened. The fittings near the cpu were untouchable, way too hot, and everything got progressively colder as it got further away but still stayed pretty hot. there was no one area that was "cool" but the are around the cpu was definitely extreme.
I stopped the fans as suggested, and they run back up just fine. Currently everything is running without a hitch just as it did for the last half a year. There is some dust in the radiator but not a wall of it, the fans are blowing good air though it i can feel it. It literally looks like there is nothing wrong, nothing even suspicious. Ive been keeping a close eye on it since 5 and its been remarkably uneventful.
Im considering getting a fan controller so all of my fans are not plugged in with splitters into the limited mobo headers
