[Request] Lightning 7970 LN2 bios.

Thread Starter
About 6 months ago I flashed over my second bios and found out my 7970 lightning can only have its own bios on it. To my dismay my backup of the LN2 did not work. Its been well over 6 months and I have yet to find a backup of this LN2 bios. As of now there is no backup on techpowerup still. If anyone has this card and can backup the LN2, I'd be grateful. If the new BE model has an LN2 bios I'm sure it will be the same one.

Thanks.

I have a ghz edition 7970L. Not sure what the bios revisions are or if they even matter. I can send them your way tomorrow if you still need them

Is that the Boost edition? Both msi 7970 lightning are GHZ. Stock clocks 1070/1400. Basically I am running the regular bios in both slots. I just want to return in LN2 in case I ever need to RMA. Also some say the OC is better on the LN2 bios regardless of if you actually go high enough to need LN2. I originally flashed over it to try another bios to see if I could get any differences. A friend saw better OC on different bios with his ref card. I had no idea custom PCB ment custom bios.

And here I am. So I need LN2, the second bios, not the regular 1070/1400 bios. LN2 bios should be stock 925/1375 clocks.

Yeah, MSI was weird with their naming of the 7970L. I've seen boxes without "GHZ Edition" on it, with, and now "Boost Edition". Pretty sure the first two are the very same thing, even read a few people receiving the boost editions with "GHZ" bios' with no boost ability. Meh.

Either way, yes, I have the second "LN2" BIOS available, clocks start at stock 7970 speeds but phase switching is disabled. Let me know if you want to try it out.
