Desk...In? Desktop in a Desk

This is a little project I had thought about for a while, and now that I have a garage and the room to do it I decided to give it a shot. It honestly turned out better than I expected... Even though it doesn't look very good. I don't have "skills", so I just kind of made it up as I went along. Someone with talent could make something much better, but I am still happy with my results smile.gif

Design should be pretty obvious from the pictures. I chose to mount the PSU under the drawer, and everything vents toward the FRONT so that there is ample room for the hot air to exhaust (I always hated that quarters were tight behind the desk and air couldn't dissipate easily...). I have a 140mm fan on the bottom, and plan on having a 200mm on the front top and rear top to get a nice, solid, and hopefully pretty quiet air flow over the main components.

I also plan on putting some LEDs into the desktop to show power, HDD activity, etc, and a power button, which I totally forgot I would need (penny between the pins works for now wink.gif ), and the whole add-in card area needs to be re-made, rather than a few crappy pieces of scrap wood. I also need to fix the groove to the left of the motherboard, it rubs a bit.

Comments and feedback!

I'd put a fan in a hole in the back of the cabinet or the computer will overheat.

Yeah, I tried to say that, probably wasn't very clear. Basically, on the top front and top back, I will have a 200mm intake (back) and exhaust (front). I am just waiting for Amazon to deliver them.
