Replace router or not to replace

Thread Starter
I currently have D-Link DGL-4100 Gigabit Gaming Router GamerLounge Broadband 1 x 10/100Mbps WAN Ports 4 x 10/100/1000Mbps LAN Ports

I need a wifi hot spot in my house, now. Should I replace this router with a wifi router? Is there another solution that could be less cost?

Newegg has this:
NETGEAR R6300 Wireless AC1750. DD-WRT Open Source support, Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router IEEE 802.11ac/a/b/g/n

What do you need in a wifi router? If you just need like 150mbps wireless-n, then you can just buy yourself a Rosewll RNX-N150RT and flash it to DD-WRT and it will do pretty much whatever you want for $20. The only thing it won't do is give you dual band wireless. If you are just looking for something to put a tablet or a PS3 or something on, then the aforementioned solution is the most cost-effective.
