Stress Tests

Thread Starter
Just finished my new build and was wondering what stress tests I should run on it and what numbers would be considered high overall?

Stats:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80 92.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card

Thanks in advance!

You should run prime95 blend for CPU and RAM and then run something like Unigine Heaven or 3dmark11 for GPU.
Do you mean high temperatures? Because your GTX 770 should optimally be at 79C and your 4670k OC should not pass 80C under max load.

My build has not been overclocked yet. However, I just want to do some tests to make sure all the parts I get are running fine just so I don't have to RMA.

I think when I got BSOD it had to do with my RAM

goto google.com type intel extreme tuning utility download it...runt he cpu stress test for 8 hours then run the ram test for 6-8 hours and that should ggive u a nice idea if ur stable etc.. thumb.gif

please monitor cpu/all temps when running any stress test...intel stress test has a temp feature so please keep an eye on this and be sure not exceed 90c your cpu will throttle at 100c good luck

Did Small FTTs on Prime95 for a few minutes and got a max of 79C is that too hot?

Run Memtest and you'll know if you have RAM issues. Never been a real fan of G-Skills. Had a set that had to get RMA the first week I had the machine running.
