i7 3970x on Asus R4E with Dominator Platinum 2400 C9 4x4Gb

Just installed this RAM, set the the bios to Safe Default settings, then set AI overclock to XMP profile 1. (2400mhz, 9-11-11-31 1.65V)

Crashes after windows loads..

Running on Auto settings for speed and DRAM timing, no crashing. SIW utility reports Memory running at 667mhz x 2 (1333mhz) 9-9-9-24 1T primary timings "Wrong memory values reported by bios".

How can I get this memory to running at it's factory settings (2400mhz, 9-11-11-31) without crashing the computer, with my system specs?

Please help.... thumb.gif

I thought SB-E only supported 2133 :O or at least generally topped out around there..

But you might want to try dropping the clocks on the mem down a peg, see if you can get them stable. For the most part memory OC's your CPU is just as important as your DIMMs, if you don't have a high quality IMC, you won't be getting stellar clocks.

I believe there's less then 1% of people running faster then DDR3 2133 on SB-E setups.

I'll see what I can get outta this kit, keeping in mind 2400 is a rediculous speed... Without touching the voltage and stick to CPU, mem freq and timings. Ram guy from the corsair forums had a couple ideas... Any other input from overclock.net users would be greatly appreciate.
