ISO: Cheap headphone recommendation (for gaming, & not music)

Thread Starter
I am looking to buy a temporary and cheap headphone setup for gaming.

I will be playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (FPS) and AION: Tower of Eternity (MMORPG).

My budget: ~$25USD

(If you have time to also share $30-35 options I am all eyes and ears)

Sennheiser HD 428's are great bang for your buck. I bought a pair from this same seller on Ebay and, though they are refurbs, they look and work like brand new. They also come with a warranty.

I did a bass mod on them to add more bass, and they sound great. (Just google Sennheiser 428 bass mod)

Probably won't beat the quality for $25.

If you want dirt cheap gaming headphones, then take a look at some refurbished Turtle Beach X11s... (if you can find them).

I use these on my laptop for when I am traveling and they work pretty well for what they cost...

If you don't need a mic, I'd avoid Turtle Beach's. There's a reason there are so many refurbs floating around.

I can agree with that... however for most gaming you do need a mic. They are adequate enough to do the job. smile.gif

The other thing is... comfort. I have some other "el cheapo" headphones that have better sound quality than the TBs... but after about 45 mins, I want to toss them across the room.

Either way... whenever you say "CHEAP" you have to pick and choose your battles.
