Ivy Bridge-E processors are Pre-Orderable!

Intel Ivy Bridge-E Pre Order Pricing has been revealed. They range from a a Pre-Order Price of 342 US Dollars to 1140 US Dollars. This is slightly more then the predicted prices leaked previously this year. The difference is as much as 150 US Dollars. Though seeing these are Pre-Order Pricing it is very likely that prices will fall dramatically in the time to come.

Next wave of Intel Extreme processors, this time based on Ivy Bridge-E architecture, is coming in September. Numerous reports and leaks indicated that Intel is going to release three models, with the Core i7-4960X being the fastest. The six-core 4960X runs at 100 MHz higher frequency than the Core i7-3970X, on top of that it has better microarchitecture and lower power consumption. Two other extreme CPUs, quad-core Core i7-4820K and six-core Core i7-4930K, are also expected to be faster than the i7-3820 and i7-3930K due to higher operating frequency and Ivy Bridge-E enhancements. The specs and launch date of these products were known for a while, and now we are starting to see some hints on their pricing.
Earlier this week Chinese edition of VR-Zone published prices of all three models. If we ignore obvious inaccuracies in the specs section of their slide and assume that their prices are correct, then the Core i7-4820K will cost on a par with the i7-3820, while six-core chips will be less expensive than last year's SKUs. That is, Intel i7-4930K will be about $40 cheaper than the 3930K, and the i7-4960X will be $70 cheaper than the i7-3970X. Unfortunately, these are regional suggested retail prices, and we are not sure whether they will apply to US and European markets or not. However, we found three i7-4xxx extreme processors
