occasionally you'll see posted pictures of corrosion in the threads on rads. since the fittings are brass and the rads are copper, that can happen. but i never see anyone using teflon tape to wrap the fittings before threading them into a rad. teflon tape is commonly and necessarily used in plumbing. It would make a better waterproof seal and prevent metal-metal contact. is there any obvious reason i am missing to avoid teflon tape?
