Does hUMA benefit PCs with discrete graphics cards, or only APUs?

Since one of the main points is the unified memory, I don't see it working on discrete cards.

Only APUs, but it still can benefit PCs with discrete GPUs. (I'm running my i5s IGP for one of my screens, for example. It also allows me to use QuickSync to encode which gives me faster encode times without using my dedicated GPU up. (eg. So I could leave something processing that's accelerated with the IGP and play games without it being that badly affected in terms of performance)

Same story with gaming here, say you accelerated physics using HSA? You'd be able to put the physics calculations on the IGP rather than on the most often bottlenecked part in gaming, the GPU.
