Hey guys,

My closed loop watercooled EVGA GTX 470 is having problems going over 925mhz @ 1.212V.

@ 1.212v, 925mhz and full load is chills at around 46 degrees whereas with air cooling it would be at 80-100 degrees @ stock 607mhz speeds. When I push it to 950 or 1000 my screen turns grey or green. Is it possible to go further or is my specific gpu chip cannot handle going over 925mhz

Its not only about temps. Above certain clocks, the Core may not be stable unless you apply more voltage (generally, the higher the clock you seek the higher the jump in voltage needed, being incremental in each step). If you reached the voltage limit, then that's that. Anyway, 925Mhz over a 607mhz stock clock is one hell of an OC (around 50% increase)

Thanks guys I was thinking I could push it further but I guess 925mhz is the limit. Plus according to 3DMark my score is higher then the gaming laptop score (7970m) at 3386
