Windows 8 - Lost Admin permissions, some windows functions are broken

Thread Starter
Hey guys, around 6 months after I installed windows 8 I started to have some issues related to permissions. First I found that I couldn't modify folder components (for eg. replace or add files into a folder in progam files), I first thought that it was a minor issue and solved it with a small .reg file I found that lets you regain admin permission over any file/folder with right-clicking and choosing the option.
Later on I went into the Control Panel to change some power saving options and I couldn't access it. After that, I found I couldn't enable/disable Windows Defender options and so on.
Computer runs fine, programs run fine, it is just the hassle of not being able to change some windows options and having to force admin rights over every new folder that is added inside program files or any windows folder.
I have been searching around to see if there was any known causes for this and found out that older CCleaner versions did mess up permissions on windows 8 (sometimes) when you did a registry cleanup. Which was probably my case.
Is there any way of restoring permissions to the whole account? Or am I facing the need for a fresh install? If its the latter I'll wait for W8.1 and try a clean install then.

Thanks for the input.

This **** always happens with my Windows 8 machines, early or later this occurs. Always with retail ISO, no modifications. Unfortunately I never found the solution, Windows 8 sucks mad.gif
