Hello guys,

A quick question, I already have Xonar DG.

How would you rate SB1040 by Sound Blaster compared to it?

I'm looking for PCIE card in the same price range (please email me if you are selling Xonar DGX (pcie) )

Question is whether Sound Blaster is worthy compared to Xonar?
as it's $24.90 on ebay

Please let me know

-==-=-trying to update the sound card to PCIE simply because PCI slot is blocking off air to the GPU

The higher end Creative cards use the same chips as their EMU line does and I don't have any problem with them. Their lower priced lineup uses a variety of chips and it is usually hit or miss. I remember when the Xtreme Audio came out there was nothing but complaints about it, so I have always hesitated to recommend it, even for $25. I would stick with your Xonar. Upgrade to a better Xonar that is PCIe later when you are willing to spend a bit more.

Thank you, those bad reviews on Amazon were putting me off as well.
