By the time Windows 10 comes out, who knows, Linux may actually have a distro that tons of Windows users could enjoy. The revolution would likely be game compatibility on Linux. As soon as Linux supports more games, I know a bunch of people would make the jump towards that instead of learning how to use Microsoft's next Operating System.
I've already tried a few Linux distros and I decided against learning it at the moment, because what I like to do is play games in my free time and a lot of them didn't have official support for Linux, or they simply didn't work. If and whenever that issue is completely solved, I'll probably give it another try.
Before you continue saying linux is hard to learn you clearly haven't used the new versions of Fedora because IMO it's just simply the first OS i ever used with ZERO learning curve. But the games ... yeah ... Game development depends on whether M$ pays them or not or also market power.
NOTE: I absolutely do not like Ubuntu.

It truly baffles me. Like Win8 wasn't enough of a disaster, they now want to spawn a Cloud OS.
Rumors are rumors but ... We all know how windows is run, every subsequent OS after a successful OS is even worse than the previous worst Windows you'd have imagine.
Ok i'll be fair here, Win8 is fast but the garbage about it is that it's 1)Lack of proper support for some non-metro apps, they gone backwards again. AGAIN! 2)They didn't listen to the desktop users neither did they on the Win8.1 and we are the commanding power the reason why M$ is still here 3) Continuing on from point 2, sure we asked for a start button but we expected the start menu as well
. Surely they read that backwards again? Yes you can "add-on a free" startmenu. We don't like paying for things that should be there no matter the price
It's a unnecessary hassle. Just like the XSPC cases which have machining flaws, we don't need to mod something that should be there to begin with
I'll be very critical now, Windows 8 is very very unusable for me if i didn't know the keyboard shortcuts. I do know but i'm still not willing to use them, i don't want a OS where you have to learn it to use it
Screw M$!Edited by DaveLT - 8/28/13 at 6:47am
