First time o/c help and questions

Thread Starter
Hey there overclockers.
So, I'm thinking about overclocking my GT 430.
Some of you may say "Just get a new GPU, no need to o/c this card", but at this moment, I do not wish to spend much money, planning on getting a new rig next year anyway, so this is only a temporary solution to my current config.
Initial plan : o/c the card and get some additional cooling (pc is with stock cooling, case open for the summer), or get a new card.
Other plan : o/c the CPU too (Pentium E5500 @ 2.80GHz), but I don't think it's needed that much (opinions are welcome).
I'd like you guys to give me some beginner tips and assistance in this.
Tell me which programs I'll need to o/c the card, or maybe I should get a new card?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section.

If it were me I wouldnt bother OCing that card. It wont allow you to do anything you already cant do, if that makes sense. See if MSI Afterburner has support for your card, do you research before you OC.

Checked, it supports it.
Anyone else that has some opinions in mind?
