[IGN] Nintendo Announces 2DS - Page 11

With the popularity of tablets these days, this will probably sell well. It's like a small gaming tablet.

OCN - Nintendo Haters since when ever this site was first started.

Seriously guys, calm the [expletive] down. If something wasn't designed for you, chances are you are not forced to go out and buy one. Just because Nintendo is releasing something that is different from what you want doesn't mean you're obligated to get one.

Me? After letting it sink in, I can actually think of a use for one. I can think of some friends who would be happy with one. I can see where Nintendo is coming from. Do I agree with their design choice? Don't know till I get my hands on it.

A wise man once said "Nintendo has done some seriously bad things that are worth complaining about, and you're complaining about a 2D screen?"

Wow, you would hate Neogaf.

The 2DS has so far been panned by everybody, not just OCN.

Considering I haven't panned it, your argument is invalid! And no, it's really a 50/50 split in terms of opinions I've seen, with the biggest concern being the design. I hope for the best.

While I agree with that statement, why are grown ass men complaining about a product for children ages 7 and under?

I don't give two craps about the stupid 3D, so why the hell didn't Ninty offer this at launch before I bought one of these expensive 3DS. :/

That was the biggest pet peeve of mine. The DS was painfully slow. The 3DS as you said is quite snappy.

I've heard plenty of people complain but never had an issue with my 3DS XL and I have fairly large hands, I guess I'm just weird though.

The XL is perfect. The Classic is a pain to hold over long periods, the corners dig into your palms... I've developed harder skin in that area, so it doesn't bother me anymore tongue.gif

But yes, it's not the most comfortable machine ever.

The 3D is kinda cool, but not really as big of a feature Nintendo are making it out to be IMO, I don't get headaches or the like from it but I do leave it off generally because I'd prefer better battery life to 3D.

I guess I'm weird, but know what's ironic? I'm so used to the 3D on it, that if I play in 2D, I get headaches!! I am so used to being fed information about picture depth, that when switching to 2D, I am not even able to play well anymore! Going from 3D to 2D in MK7 for instance resulted on insta-crash, and would suddenly start to drive like ass.

Whining, ranting and rambling about how a product that is not aimed at you not being suited for you seems to be the norm, xD
