I'm a teacher, got hundreds of kids, plenty of em with DS'. Too many have smartphones with shattered screens, but their clamshells are just fine, not a strip of tape in sight.
And to say you got as many broken ds as rrods is just complete hyperbole. RROD is infamous because of its numbers, much talked about to this day; if DS had the same frequency problem it would have been mentioned in the gaming press but Ive visited all the major websites almost every day over the past few years and seen no mention.
