p5q deluxe + e7200 = 4ghz wall

just wonderd if theres a way around it guys I have 1.4v core all the others bumped up to about the right volts extra fans on ram nb vr's ect cpu is 55*c p95 @ 3.8 400*9.5 1600 fsb thanks

p.s. I don't want to upgrade I like my board/cpu combo biggrin.gif

It could be after 400mhz you reach a FSB Wall,

i remember form the socket 775 Ocing days that increasing the PCI-Ex Frequency can improve your maximum FSB,

Lets say you increase the PCI-Ex to 101mhz, that could allow 400-404mhz,

on my old motherboard PCI-Ex on 104mhz allowed to to boot 436mhz fsb instead of the maximum 400mhz

Nice to hear,

How high did you put the PCI-EX speed setting?

Because there are more parts connected to that bus speed, so its smart not to go over 110mhz, but that probably isnt needed anyway

106 and I pushed 499fsb boots but bsod on 1.3volt but I think its ram as I put 1.4volt core n 2.1volt ram still same redface.gif

i also pushed an intel xeon l5238 modded motherboard and chip to fit and pushed that to 420 stable was 3.2g 420 6mb and it was delided load was 50 with a quad heat pipe cooler from an amd 955 be 125watt tongue.gif great heat sinks just loud
