I've had zero Seagate drives die and 2 WDs die within a year of usage. You shouldn't buy WDs!

LOL! Going by that, I should only buy Maxtors. The only Maxtor I ever had lasted seven years and was still going strong when I retired it because it was IDE and a whopping 60GB. I've had two Seagates (the infamous 7200.11s) and one early WD Green (that never should been used as the sole HDD in the machine and had the head parking issue) die. I favor WDs because of the lousy way Seagate handled (more like didn't handle) the 7200.11 firmware fiasco, WD's better customer service, and WD's longer warranties (especially the Blacks).
